I loved this short story. I think it would make an awesome novel. The author so easily makes his characters real, especially the 'Uncanny android'. I wanted to know more about the android's faith in God, his platonic love for his deceased android friend, and to see the story extended where these Uncanny androids reach their potential of being the 'adopted' children of God, just as we were, based on faith and free will. So R.A. Hobbs start writing. You have a fan waiting :)

The book has a very shocking ending. I makes you want to know more about the characters and what has happend. I leaves you needing the follow up to the short story with a longer book
good try , could have had more of a reaction to an android behaving human , on the other hand it did raise some questions , what is the soul ? Do only humans have one ?
My only complaint was that it was too short. It was definitely thought provoking. Thank you, RA Hobbs. More, please.
I am a huge fan of well-written short stories and Interview With An Android fits that bill to a T.
R.A. Hobbs has crafted a multi-layered story that will make you smile, think and question.
This is the first story of R.A. Hobbs that I've read, but it will not be the last.
R.A. Hobbs has woven together an intriguing dialogue between two individuals that will immediately draw you in and not let go.

This story really resonated with me. It leaves you with a good, cheerful feeling, but also with several questions to ask yourself What makes us human? How do we define faith? What is the nature of love, and of free will? I would recommend this story to anyone, regardless of religion or creed.
The Terminator Movies destroyed the world where peaceful androids might continue to exist as servants to men and this science fiction talky disappoints a little. The author has skillfully eked out a story of what happens when man frees androids from subjugation by removing the Laws of Robotics. (Robots shouldn't harm humans, should strive to survive but never let striving to survive interfere with not harming humans).
Where she disappoints is in trying to accomplish this story in a very short version making the reader wonder and wander about, reading and then rereading the prose, pressing it to his nose and otherwise not understanding very many of the concepts.
She is so very good at dialog and the clever use of the call in radio show is ingenious. However, a full display of human bigotry and stupidity doesn't inform the reader of very much. We know that already. Humans are bigoted and stupid and it doesn't take a machine interview to tell us that.
If the reader is intrigued by, an examination of, what it means to be a human and what it means to have beliefs that can't be easily explained except by faith, this is an outstanding book. If the reader is looking for a mystery or action thriller, this story doesn't have those things in it. Still, it is an intriguing question. If things you once believed are taken away what comes in to replace those beliefs?

I liked this short story. It dealt with an interesting theme and it kept me reading. My reservations are that, while it was an interesting dialogue, it wasn't really a story in the sense that it had no plot, climax, or resolution. That said, it intrigued me enough that I will buy and read something else before rendering a final verdict concerning the author.
